ABOUT US

Medina Japan is conceptually all about the fusion of the best of cultures. It is also about the reinvention and rebirth of styles within cultures concerned.

The creators of our products have consistently been back and forth Singapore and Japan, the two countries the brand derived its inspiration from, only to give you the best in quality and creativity that our imaginations could offer.

Our products centres around the 1200-year-old weaving method of the traditional Japanese textile Nishijin-ori. This fabric has been traditional used for the Obi of the Kimono.

It is produced in the Nishijin district, part of Kyoto, Japan. Nishijin weaving originated in Heian-Kyoto. For now, we produce Islamic prayer sajada, large and mini sizes as well as other more practical items namely tissue cases and other fashionable products to be part of our repertoire as we expand in the near future.

Our products are ideal for both retail and premium corporate gifts. They are either Made in Japan (in the case of the Premium Tissue Case) or produced in Singapore with the Nishijin-ori fabric weaved meticulously in Japan.

For now, whether it is a Japanese, Islamic/Abrahamic faith Tessellation patterns or Singaporean design concept, the marriage of the polarities of these cultures is hoped to give our clients a product that invites better understanding of cultures as well as uniquely catering to their yearning for elegance and sophistication that is to be added into their lives.
